IDENTITY + PACKAGING + PLACE | Watergate Bay Hotel

Watergate Bay Hotel

In one of those cherished projects where the designer(s) get to overhaul more than just a logo, Watergate Bay Hotel hired Pearlfisher to revamp everything from corporate stationary to exclusive product packaging. The use of a clean, contemporary hand-drawn logotype and other illustrations give the hotel a fresh and casual feel that welcomes visitors looking for some R&R.

The overall effect of the collection of pieces is cohesive, pleasant, and no more complicated than it needs to be.

Quick post: I haven’t yet seen these revolutionary new bottles from Method. The innovative company is the first to make packaging from recovered ocean plastic. The color and texture make these bottles stand out and virtually ensure the average shopper will at least pick one up to take a closer look.

According to the linked post, these are only available in Whole Foods right now so, sadly, I have yet to see them (no WF in Alaska…..yet). But, I can’t wait to get my hands on a bottle to take a closer look!

Letterpress, offset printing, warm colors and touches of embossing give the packaging for Bunches & Bunches’ Snap cookies the gourmet aesthetic intended.

Despite the high-end look, the packaging was completed with budget in mind — simplifying the production details of the box itself, achieving a ‘premium’ feel with printing and finishing techniques. The overall effect is tailored, elegant, and very successful.
